The question is very simple... what you think about the new rewards from rift? They worth it or just take rubies and run?
New items are a mask and a back for 3,2,1 place.

wiki.cloudstonegame.com/index.php/Crate-ceptionThe capes seem to be really great, even the third. It will be hard to choose between rubies or this. About the masks, I find them ugly, even more than the pvp golden mask... But the legendary and the 1st are really powerfull.

Both items are nice and other the jewelry, that's outright useless in the 3rd place version, those items are nice even in the lower versions. If you're close to wearing it, why not. Both items will help in rift too.

i like the cape, it has three stat upgrdes, find the mask kinda useless since i have speed of the fox, fake faerie wings, haste and a lot of speed pots. but the cape is nice

I'm thinking about taking the mask... I got no item that improve speed, so I'm really to slow. The cape is nice but I need disc... a lot of disc, tons of disc!! So I'm keeping my rubies (I'm playing without spend money...) for the lvl 45 cape with 60 disc and 15% armor. 10% speed is significant or feels like going at same speed like now?

I have a cape which gives 5% and it's already useful. It may be difficult in the rift (and even in pvp) without speed bonus, isn't it?

A little... i hate slow curse, but i survive well at lvl 23 in rift, i think that with a speed boost i can try lvl 27 (unlocked and passed one time just today )

*** and an article from The Necroposting News *** Ok, last rift I made a mistake and took Stylish Green Cape from crate lvl 3 (I'm lvl 43 now). Why mistake? - I cannot use it right now; in shape of crate it would be more universal. - Luckily the cape does not take inventory space - that could one more reason. - It is 1% less armor than Ebony Turtle Shell. - I have received crate lvl 2 last season. But what's done is done. Now the question is: should I take - (now) Blue Kabuki (instead of my current Four Paths) +23 AR +25 S -11 Disc -25 CritHR - (on lvl 45) Stylish Pink Cape (vs my current Ebony Turtle Shell) +5 AR +252 H +27,5 S On my current build (http://kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=1834077) as a Monk+Regen the mask drains precious Disc and non-shardable CritHR = less damage in Rift. How good is the Blue Kabuki after all? Should I take it now or pray for Purple or Orange? One small 'yes' is that I already have Stylish Green Cape, so gain from Pink will be "only" +10 AR +42 H +2,5 S Another one is that I'll probably get more lvl 2 crates before lvl 45 )) So now it's about 'Blue Kabuki' vs Rubies. Your votes, please!

Both items are a must for rift i believe, especially since you won't be having malachite ring for quite a while. Reason is simple, movement speed, which is one of the most important things in rift i think. Basically if i have - armor and - disc i can win, but having 0 speed alone can make me lose.
So you have both items, cape and mask, which is good. I need to take them off in rift sometimes and replace with non ms (movement speed) items, when i get moonwalk nerf. Sometimes i even remove neck item which gives me 15% ms. Since usefulness of those masks and capes is mostly given out by even simplest of them from crate 3, i'd say you just stick with what you have for now. Getting new ones will deprive you from rubies, and you can buy lvl 45 neck item from those. New neck item from contracts seems relatively nice, but it's for lvl 53. So currently, your best buy is either weapon lvl 45, or neck lvl 45.
As for mask, only purple one is worth getting because of stats it gives. Blue kabuki gives you nothing - well i consider 20 armor to be nothing actually. So witch from 4 paths to green mask i suggest, as ms will help you in both sharding and rift better than 10 disc. Crit rating of 25 on 4 paths is really nothing.
Cape - well you're too young to notice big difference in capes. When you get much more shards, difference will become important. For now, stylish green gives quite a nice boost.
I made a mistake of selling turtle shell - now when i need to remove cape i can only place sasquish backpack, and while dmg is nice to have, in rift armor is more important, in situation when speed is limiting factor.
All in all, what i think you should do is this, keep cape and mask you currently have, and equip them when you're able to at lvl 45. Keep the crates you get from now on, so that you can either wait till you get rubies for weapon or neck item, or get better cape. I don't think getting anything but purple mask is justified, and even better cape isn't good enough to replace ruby amount from crates.

Chail, on which floor do you rift? Without bonus speed, isn't it to difficult? Personally, I felt in love with the legendary cape, but despite a lot of prayers, I never managed to get it (neither the black cape). So, one day, I picked up the pinky one and I don't regret it: I gain 5 floors in rift and even if it's not the best cape and I would change it if I get a better crate, it still helps a lot. Blue Kabuki is better than Four Path, in my opinion. However, you may take the rubies in order to get the item neck at level 45, as Fartuditu says. But it's 130 rubies. I don't know how many you have. It's a choice to make. I made a mistake of selling turtle shell - now when i need to remove cape i can only place sasquish backpack, and while dmg is nice to have, in rift armor is more important, in situation when speed is limiting factor. At level 47, you can get Keg and now at level 53 the Falliage Cape, which are better than turtle shell.
