Hey fellow Rogues--I'm working on finishing up my build for rift. Right now I'm able to do f19 well, but would like to move up to 23. So far on f23 (without these 9 skill points) killing the badies seems to take a bit long, and also I seem to die a little quick, so need to improve all around. My strategy is pretty much kite with earthwave + charge + healbomb kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=10888452I'm trying to use these 9 points to best complete f23 consistantly. I was wondering if any of you have experience trying out these strategies, or have thoughts on complementary skills to make it happen in rift. Please let me know if you think one of my ideas or skill choices is preferable, or if you have another suggestion Idea 1:5/5 on whirly, powerburst, or fire bats (for added firepower) 1/5 mass heal (survivebility) 3/5 enrage (power gen) Idea 2: 4 spread between enrage or brawn (boost fury) 4/5 on aegis (I like this for being able to pull out tight wins without having to resort to a potion) 1/5 mass heal Thank you!!

My strategy is to start out using power ups and sword hits on crabs and spiders when they are coming in one at a time, then move on to circle and earth wave with a heal bomb quickly followed as you will get those few snails that are close and still inside their shells. I would try to avoid using charge and concentrate on EW and HB, use Charge as an oh shit button, you can get hit a bunch when you charge through a group of baddies. 1.) Aegis is great, pop it, let everyone surround you while smashing with your sword, heal bombs, unleash hell, and right when it is coming off charge out of the group and continue and start circling again. You can use it twice in the time it will take you to win. 2.) Switch the 5 points from claw mastery to sword mastery. With glass brand and a power up you can take out a crab in a hit, easy points. 3.) It might just be me, but it felt like when I switched to Faerie wings I had a much easier time winning, you stay just a little further ahead of the mobs when kiting. 4.) I would stay away from firebats, it isn't going to add much w/ lower sorc, just uses up power. 5.) Upgrade to the Shark Tooth necklace, it isn't going to help much... but it adds a couple more health and armor over the toe. If you make the switch to sword mastery, max out Aegis, you would still have 5 points to spend elsewhere. I am thinking about mass heal as well as it gives you another heal, I just don't have the space on my bar as I just use Jelly Juice when needed, I am running the UD epic and get quite a few of them on 1 minute cool down. But then again I can't consistently do 23 yet either kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=7314894

I'd stick with the setup you have right now and add tin claws to your equipment on 42. This way you don't need an amnesia potion before 43 at all and tin claws do a fantastic job at boosting disc-based damage skills. At the moment, kunai doesn't help a lot in rift, so for rift I'd still go mainly glass brand+shield til tin claws and as an option to swap depending on curses on 42. If you're not using sword hits to kill, the mastery doesn't hurt and doesn't matter much at all.
For the left-over skills: rift often has magebane champs and not every rift floor is suitable to generate charge from the monsters with the help of an obstacle stopping you. So enrage might be a really good idea if you plan on heavily using other skills than alternating between earthwave and healbomb.
Powerburst or whirly would fit well together with tin claws.
Or you just start farming power potions. I believe I have almost 600 in my bag right now.

thanks guys! elwooko, I do love and miss Aegis, I also had the sword buffs as well, but wound up getting claw to have some fun with kunai. I think I may switch back to your suggestions @ 43 with imbued rapier XD Thanks for the reminder about sharktooth too! I didn't realize I was finally high enough level to use it. I agree about the faerie wings too! sometimes switch them out to adapt to various curses though. onia, I think that is a good point about tin claws. maybe I will see what whirly is all about! right now I am just using brand/shield for rift, and kunai for everything else. And yes, power potions keep coming in, and not really going out... so maybe it's a good time to cash in on that :)So I guess I'll go for idea 1 with whirly and enrage. Thanks for the advice hopefully 23 is going down! Update: Still die depending on curses, but also not really using pots at this point--stocking up for if we need it over I'd say:

When I looked at your profile link I saw the glass brand, then after I made my post I noticed you switched to the Kunai. I am using those and sanguine slacks as well now while shard hunting. They are just so much fun to send in a summon and then stand behind people and just melt their HP

Finally i managed to understand wich build can fit me better for my playstile, best in rift with an alternate of earthwave, whirly and run around, sometimes I have no need of healbomb... (and i survive close to always at floor 19). Just happy for my discover i want to say that around the forum kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=280106p.s.: another lvl and i can finally use tin claws with more disc and dmg!
