Although many of you already know what you will choose from our 1st place victory crate, I thought I'd start a discussion on the top 3 choice items for those who aren't sure yet (like myself).
I believe the top 4 items of interest will be (1) the Purple Kabuki Mask, (2) the Stylish Black Cape, (3) the Mini Yeti, and (4) one of three rings. But feel free to discuss the necklace as well if that's where you are leaning towards.
(1)
Purple Kabuki Mask
+15 sorc
+15 fury
+15 disci
+20 armor
+10% speed
I believe most of us already have the Blue Kabuki Mask from our many 2nd place victories. Those with legendary Orange masks need not apply. The only difference is the addition of the +15 stats. In my situation, having 547 disci (with guild perk of 3%) I'd bump to 565. That'd be a net gain of 18 points (with +17 each fury and sorc). My base PB damage would jump from 831 to 856. Slight gain, but may not be a very beneficial perk for anyone with another Kabuki mask. Newcomers to the guild will see a nice increase from the speed bonus. The armor and stat increase would be nice for lower levels too.
(2)
Stylish Black Cape
+15% Armor
+14% Health
+13% Move Speed
Most of us who've been through a few seasons already have the Stylish Pink Cape at 13/12/11%'s respectively. Using my stats again at 485 armor and 3308 health, I'd gain 9 more armor up to 499 and my health would increase 52 points up to 3360. I'd also gain just +5 points in movement speed. The armor and health boost are almost negligible at lvl 50, but speed is always nice (except for moonwalk in rift). Those who have a nice amount of health (4k-5K) would see 80+ to 110+ health. Again, not enough to survive one more mob hit. Still, great choice for those getting their first stylish cape. I'd take this over the mask if I didn't have either.
(3)
Mini Yeti
+100 power
Sounds great, right? What a lot do not realize is you STILL start a level with 50 power, not 150. You just get a larger repository to store power (up to 200 without wiz skill or item perk). The other disadvantage is you have this giant beast following you, sometimes blocking your path, eating a tiny bit of your frame rate. BUT.... being able to build up your power would allow you to send a barrage of skill hits back to back against an opponent rather quickly without waiting for a recharge. Huge advantage there once your power is maxed.
(4)
Greater Sapphire Ring = +8% stats
Greater Emerald Ring = +10% armor & +3% health
Greater Ruby Ring = +3% health & +10% damage
Of the 3 rings, the sapphire ring may be the best for mixed class since you will see +8% hike in all 3 stats. Without my obsidian ring, I'd gain +4 fury, +4 sorc and +38 disci.
The emerald ring would grant me +43 armor and +78 health, more beneficial to player with mass health or a warrior class with huge armor.
The ruby ring would grant me +78 health and almost 20 more damage per hit. The level 40 Ring of Death gives you +47 armor and +26 damage. I'd possibly use that over the ruby ring and grab another gift from the chest. Plus once you reach lvl 53, the malachite ring will grant you +30 damage anyway.
Share your thoughts. What are you choosing and why?
