So guys I am playing as a mage since level 1 now. I have to say i like it very much but I tried a little bit with the char of my brother (bashizzle, yep in our guild as well) an I have to say it's also a lot of fun.
If I look in the rift highscores there's like only monks or at least hybrid monks. My question is what skills/weapon/armor do you guys suggest if I am going to re-spec.

Hey! Yes, monks have some interesting builts, a lot of hybrids too. It's a very popular skill tree and there are several possible playstyles with different strengths for pve, rift, pvp. Don't forget to take a look at TA's rift guide. Pure monk: The "classic" pure monk, here's an example: kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=3006120and here: kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=2616919Relies 100% on claw hits to recharge power, no stun or damage reducing skills, relies on disc for damage a lot. Warmonks: sword-warmonk: kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=545780most damage comes from the weapon attacks, good survivability due to healbomb/high def and life gear, variations allow for either pvp (ek), boosting (haste), berserk is pretty neat too, which I'm using right now instead of ek but can't link my built since I'm going to reskill soon haha claw-warmonk: kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=10631139having haste at hand, allowing for quick moving/power recharging, a lot of damage comes from skills too, since claws often mean a big boost in disc compared to sword-warmonks Wizmonks: have a power-producing skill (and sometimes power-increase), sometimes use the wiz-stun spiketopus too, claw, wand, tin claws are possible options kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=108359 common solution: powersurge, one or two stuns from wiz, rest monk stuff If you have icebats, defo go wizmonk, in rift those bats fly through all monsters afaik.

Onia gave some great examples. My thought process is if you like the play style of the class you have then use other skills (monk in your case) to compliment it. So, there are 2 ways to go as a wizmonk and see Onia's post on using disc stones to supplement for gear if you like sorc gear. The 2 best paths of wizmonk: 1. The claw/heavy monk build. It will rely heavily on tin claws because of the massive boost to both sorc and disc. Most people who use tin claws go heavy monk and i am taking a page from MyAnh's book (he no longer uses this build). The goal would be to have sorc, by the time you have tin claws, anywhere between 150-250 (tin claws gives 125 sorc so shouldnt be hard). With that said it is also not all that important to have high sorc because those who favor the monk play style will use regular attacks and monk attacks for dmg. Everything in the sorc build would be related to stun. So the main skills to get would be spiketopus and flame strike and then get complimentary skills to get those (the +sorc passives or shield bub is nice). After you get the stuns you will want to pump heal bomb and haste. spiketopus, flamestrike, haste, healbomb should all be maxed an your staples. If you pick up another dmg skill like power burst (2nd highest dmg skill in the game next to chaos bomb) the that can compliment real nice or if you pick up shield bub then EK would be nice as well. The play style would be something like stun, attack for power, stun, haste, attack, healbomb, stun, PB, repeat. This works real well with large groups as well as pvp. (Main stat goal here is to pump disc with both stat stones and gear tho save a couple spots for sorc gear). 2. The heavy wiz (tin claws work well here too but wand/staff preferred). A wizmonk with a heavy wiz build relies mainly on sorc stat with enough disc to make healbomb viable but the hopes are that you never even need to use it. The stuns are still a must and then it is basically the normal kiting technique for a wiz but with a pumped up PB and haste for easier kiting. Pb to push away (players and whirlys in pvp and champs in pve) and haste to create max distance when stuns are on cooldown. (a heavier wiz build is a slower kill rate but much higher survivability.

only use for ek = pvp I like where you are heading with the build. If you are looking for power though i recommend taking the 2 points out of ek and 3 from +disc passive and take a page from my book and use my build which would make my rift strategy easier to accomplish. with the 5 points you take out there, I would get rid of ew entirely, fill up on enrage and a 1 pointer in charge. Assuming you survive a large pack of mobs, enrage+charge = insta-full power. This way in rift you can use spirit whirlys and PBs for dmg, charge for power and use haste/charge as dodging techniques as well to get out of situations and wait for a heal bomb cool down. Also, a 1 pointer in mass heal would be nice if you think you could take away from anything else. You may not think you will use another heal and waste power and i thought the same thing but i end up using it all the time now. Good luck however you build it

Thanks a lot. Charge sounds like to be worth it. Then i just continue to farm shard ro come up for the lack of disc. Or maybe a little health.
